Today, we reviewed the previous lesson and learned new words such as tsumetai (cold to the touch), samui (cold weather), amai (sweet), mazui (bad-tasting), ninki ga nai (unpopular), and futsuu (normal). We also did some practice questions using the vocabulary from today and last time.
Kevin, you always remember things so quickly — it’s really wonderful! Next week, we will review what we learned today and start a new unit as well. Thank you in advance!
Konbanwa! Thank you for always joining the lessons! Last time, we made sentences using the phrases we studied and practiced them. You were able to speak long sentences smoothly in Japanese! The phrase like, "(watashiwa)shumatsu super e tomodachito kurumade ikimasu."
And today, we studied and practiced a new tense—the past tense of verbs and their negative forms. *The present tense→ benkyo shimasu. *The arrimative past tense → benkyo shimashita. *The negative past tense → benkyo shimasen deshita.
In regular verb case for example, *The present tense→ tabe-masu *The arrimative past tense → tabe-shimashita *The negative past tense → tabe-masen deshita In Japanese, verbs undergo conjugation. For simple verbs like tabemasu, the stem changes. For compound verbs like benkyō shimasu, only shimasu is conjugated, while the noun part stays the same.
That was a good question! Let’s continue studying verbs.Thank you for your effort and harad work todau too! Have a great week then. See you in December. Please stay well!
