Thank you for joining the lesson tonight even though you were busy this week. It was great to see you again!
Today, we tried writing your favorite Naruto catchphrase — “だってばよ!”— and the title of your favorite Hatsune Miku song, using hiragana, katakana, and kanji together.
You were great to write Japanese characters!
And then we shared who came up with each of our first names. The stories behind our names were wonderful, and it really made me realize again how different countries and cultures shape names in many ways.

Thank you for joining the lesson over the weekend. It was great to see you! Today, we studied how to ask and answer questions using“nani o What do you…?” with different verbs, such as“dokode kaimasuka? Where do you buy (something)?
For example:
*nani o super de kaimasuka? (What do you buy at the super marcket?)
→ Super de okashi o kaimasu.(I buy snacks at the super market.)
*dokode eiga o mimasuka? (Where do you watch movie?)
→ ie de eiga o mimasu. (I watch movies at my home.)
*dokode kaban o kaimasuka? (Where do you buy bags?)
→ New York de kaimasu . (I buy bags in New York.)
We practiced the sentence pattern where“nani o”and“doko de”come first, and the verb comes at the end. You did a great job today. Let’s continue practicing how to ask and answer these questions in our next lesson.
