Thank you always for joining the lessons. I'm happy to see you, and I’m glad you are doing well. Today, we reviewed Basic‑level verbs first. Then you told me that your new textbook had arrived—thank you. I'm sorry I didn't check with you earlier. From today, we started using the Intermediate 1 textbook. In Chapter 1, we studied invitation phrases and how to answer them. For example: “raishu eiga o mimasen ka?" Would you like to watch a movie next week? "Yes” → hai, or ee, mimashou (Yes, let's watch it.) "No→ suimasen, chotto,(I’m sorry, but… ) , This is a soft and polite way to decline in Japanese.
You said the new textbook looks interesting, and I'm happy to hear that. Thank you for studying Japanese so enthusiastically. I really appreciate it. Let's continue enjoying our studies together. Excellent work! Have an excellent weekend and see you next week!
Thank you for coming to the lesson. Since it was June 12th, we looked at Pokémon around Pokédex number 612 and thought about what they were based on. As speaking practice, you talked about having a sports day today. Great job on participating in it despite the hot weather of 33°C. We learned “~rashii desu” as an exception related to “~sou desu.” × “Kono keeki oishii sou desu” ○ “Kono keeki oishii rashii desu” We also worked on practice exercises to review the usual uses of “~sou desu” and “~rashii desu.”
