Thank you for joining the make‑up lesson today. I was happy to see you. In today's lesson, we studied the negative form of expressing desires: I don’t want to do something / したくないです. The ending –tai conjugates like an i‑adjective. To make the negative form, change –i to –ku and add nai desu.
"Shimasu" belongs to Verb Group 3. It is an irregular verb. There are only two irregular verbs in Japanese — "shimasu" and kimasu — so it’s good to remember them. We will study the verb groups in more detail in the next stage, so you don’t need to memorize them now.
