🎆 Schedule, Anniversaries & Time Frameworks: Review
1. Grammar Focus: Event Scheduling Particles (に and で) When constructing sentences about events, matching the right particle to Time and Place is crucial.
💡 The Sentence Formula:
[ Time ] に [ Place ] で [ Event ] が あります / ありました。 (There is / was an [Event] at [Time] in [Place].)
Examples from the Worksheet: 5がつ 17にちに フレッドさんの おたんじょうびかいが あります。 (There is Fred's birthday party on May 17th.)
あいちけん とよたしで おいでんまつりが あります。 (There is the Oiden Festival in Toyota City, Aichi Prefecture.)
7がつ 26にちに はなびたいかいが あります。 (There is a fireworks display on July 26th.)
9がつに かんこくで ともだちの けっこんしきが あります。 (There is a friend's wedding in Korea in September.)
らいねんの 6がつに ハワイで かぞくの なつやすみが あります。 (There is a family summer vacation in Hawaii next year in June.)
2. Expressing Past Events (ありました) When talking about an event that already happened, switch the verb あります to the past tense ありました.
6がつ はつかに わたしの まちで 75しゅうねんの はなびたいかいが ありました。 (On June 20th, there was a 75th-anniversary fireworks display in my town.)
3. Time Framework Vocabulary (Years & Weeks) Mastering relative time words helps you shift smoothly between discussing the past, present, and future.
📅 Relative Years きょねん (kyonen) = Last year
ことし (kotoshi) = This year
らいねん (rainen) = Next year
📆 Relative Weeks せんしゅう (senshū) = Last week
こんしゅう (konshū) = This week
らいしゅう (raishū) = Next week
4. Family Status & Anniversary Vocabulary Here are key phrases from the lower section of the worksheet used to describe family structures and milestone celebrations:
👥 Family & Milestones Vocabulary なつやすみ (natsuyasumi) = Summer vacation
けっこん 20しゅうねん (kekkon nijū-shūnen) = 20th wedding anniversary
かぞくりょこう (kazoku ryokō) = Family trip
つま (tsuma) = Wife
こどもが ふたり (kodomo ga futari) = Two children
むすめ (musume) = Daughter
むすこ (musuko) = Son
💬 Describing Family Context: けっこん 20しゅうねんの かぞくりょこう です。 (It is a family trip for our 20th wedding anniversary.)
むすめは 12さいです。 (My daughter is 12 years old.)
むすこは 15さいです。11がつに 16さい。 (My son is 15 years old. He will be 16 in November.)

Thank you for always joining the regular lessons without fail. It was wonderful to see you again. Today, in Lesson 10, we practiced na‑adjectives using “donna,” such as “What kind of person is it?”, “What kind of food is it?”, and “What kind of bank is it?”
For example: *“Taylor Swift wa donna hito desu ka? — What kind of person is Taylor Swift?” The answer: yu-mei na hito desu. (She is a famous person.)
*“Sailor Moon wa donna anime desu ka? — What kind of anime is Sailor Moon?” The answer: kawaii anime desu. (It is a cute anime.)”
*“Donna tabemono ga suki desu ka? — What kind of food do you like?” The answer: tenpura to ramen ga suki desu.(I like tempura and ramen.)
Thank you for sharing so much today as well. You're improving because you speak and practice the language. Great job! Have a wonderful week. See you next time!

Thank you for joining the regular lesson. It was great to see you again! In today's lesson, we studied and practiced using the “expression of desires,” such as shitai desu (“I want to…”) and shitaku nai desu (“I don’t want to…”), and we used the phrases we learned in conversation.
We practiced new question forms like: “Doko e ikitai desu ka? — Where do you want to go?” “Nani o tabetai desu ka? / Nani o nomitai desu ka? — What do you want to eat? / What do you want to drink?”
For example:“Doko e ikitai desu ka? — Where do you want to go?” The answers were: “convention center e ikitai desu, (I want to go to the convention center.) anime no omatsuri ga arimasu. (There is an anime festival.) , kuruma de ikimasu. (I will go by car.)” “Nara e ikitai desu. (I want to go to Nara.) , osaka e ikitai desu (I want to go to Osaka.), takoyaki o tabetai desu. (I want to eat takoyaki.)”
You did very well — it was truly excellent! You shared a lot again today. I really enjoyed our conversation, and I hope you had a good time too. Have a wonderful week. See you next time!
