Thank you for coming to the lesson. Over the past three lessons, we read aloud Chapter 1 of Volume 1 of the manga Flying Witch. It was 34 pages long, so it was quite a challenge. You did a great job! 朝 あさ morning 朝（あさ）しんぶんを よみます。 I read the newspaper in the morning. 毎朝（まいあさ） ヨガを します。 I do yoga every morning. 今朝（けさ）７時に おきました。 I woke up at 7:00this morning.
昼 ひる noon 今（いま）、昼（ひる）の１時です。 It's 1:00PM. 昼間（ひるま）こうえんで あそびます。 I play in the park during the day. 昼休みに おべんとうを たべます。 I eat my bento during the lunch break.
晩 ばん night 昨日（きのう）の晩（ばん）ゲームを しました。 I played games last night. 今晩（こんばん）カレーを つくります。 I'm making curry tonight. 毎晩（まいばん）１０時に ねます。 I go to bed at 10 o'clock every night.
夜 よる night 夜（よる）は しずかです。 The night is quiet. 今夜（こんや）は さむいです。 It's cold tonight. 夜中（よなか）は まっくらです。 It's pitch black in the middle of the night.
晩 from late afternoon to early evening 夜 the entire period of darkness from sunset until the following morning.
There is some overlap, but the range is wider at night.
