In the lesson, I introduced example sentences of the passive form using “ものに〜されました.” “I got wet in the rain” is natural and commonly used. Because nureru (“to get wet”) is an intransitive verb, it actually cannot be changed into a passive form.
On the other hand, “I was swept away by the waves” is a correct passive sentence. Being swept away by the waves means being carried off by the waves. I would like to make a correction based on this explanation.
