In today's lesson, we practiced the phrases in the appendix and created sentences using such as,"なんでもある","どこでも", "いいです". Among them, the expression "いいです" can mean either giving permission or politely declining. Japanese often contains this kind of ambiguity, which reflects a cultural tendency to soften refusals in order to avoid hurting the other person.
