You told me that your daughter and son started school this Monday, so things have been busy for your family this week. I was sorry to hear that your son had a stomachache. I wonder if he might have been a little nervous because it was the first day of school. I hope he is feeling better now!
Thank you also for answering my questions about self-driving cars. I recently saw some news about self-driving cars, so I was curious about the situation in New York. I was surprised to hear from you that there have been many accidents involving self-driving cars and that they are not allowed there. I don’t really like driving, so I hope self-driving cars will become more widely available in Japan in the future!
Today, we also played a little “What is it?” guessing game using the potential form. We asked questions to guess the mystery place, such as:
そこで食べられますか。
Can you eat there?
そこで飲めますか。
Can you drink there?
My mystery place was a movie theater, and you guessed it correctly! Your mystery place was a bookstore, but I guessed “library,” so I got it wrong. You won! 😄
It was a fun way to practice using the potential form to ask questions and communicate in Japanese.

I was really surprised when you told me your age today! Thank you also for showing me your website. I’d like to take another look at it more carefully later. I was amazed by the quality of all your cosplay! I could really see how much you love and care about each character you cosplay. Everything looked so impressive that I honestly didn’t know what to say!
Today, we studied Japanese adjectives. You were able to use many different adjectives to describe various things. Adjectives are very useful because once you can use them, you can describe things in much more detail. Let’s continue practicing lots of adjectives together!
