In today’s lesson, we focused on your JLPT N4 studies. The giving‑and‑receiving expressions (授受表現) appear frequently on the N4 exam. The core of today’s practice was the difference between “送ってくれる,” “送ってもらう,” “つれてくれる,” and “つれて行ってもらう.” ＊Simple English Explanation of the Differences、 1) okutte kureru（送ってくれる） Someone sends something to me (for my benefit). The action comes toward the speaker. 2) okutte morau（送ってもらう） I receive the action of someone sending something. Focus is on my receiving the favor. 3) tsurete kureru（連れてくれる） Someone takes me somewhere (for my benefit). Again, the action comes toward the speaker. 4) tsurete itte morau（連れて行ってもらう） I receive the favor of someone taking me somewhere. Focus is on my receiving the help.
