For example, in Group 1 and Group 2, why totte and matte have a double “t,” while mite and tabete in Group 2 do not?
And also, whether motte kite and tsurete kite are used for people or for things.
For the first question, the key point is that the conjugation rules are different for Groups 1, 2, and 3.
There’s no need to rush—let’s learn them gradually.
As for the second question, English doesn’t have the small “tsu” sound like in motte.
It’s similar to a Japanese phonetic symbol, so it’s not a big issue.
Regarding the usage of motte kite and tsurete kite:
motte kite is used for objects, while tsurete kite is used for people.
