In today’s lesson, we continued practicing the ta-form and talking about experiences. For example, with questions like, *ひこうきにのったことがありますか？“Have you ever taken an airplane?”,
*どこへいきましたか？“Where did you go?”,
*なにをしに、いきましたか？“What did you go there for?”, *なんにちいましたか？“How many days did you stay?”,
you said： オレゴンへいきました、you went to Oregon,
オンラインゲームともだちにあいにいきました、you went to meet your online gaming friend,
いつかかん、いました、you stayed for five days, so on.
We used the phrases you’ve learned so far to build our conversation.
Tomorrow, we’ll continue practicing conversations using the ta-form, switching words and phrases as we go.

We practiced using "~〜ないでください" with variety of verbs.
Sometimes I mistakenly think that verbs ending in "〜します" (to do) belong to group 1, but let's make sure we use them correctly.
Overall, you did a great job with the basics!
Let's keep practicing so you can use these forms in various situations.

料金（りょうきん） vs. 代金（だいきん）
Both 料金 and 代金 mean “money you pay,” but they are used in different situations.
料金 = a fee / charge for a service or use
We usually use 料金 when we pay for a service, transportation, entrance, or using something.
電車の料金はいくらですか。
How much is the train fare?
ホテルの料金は一泊10,000円です。
The hotel charge is 10,000 yen per night.
入場料金は500円です。
The entrance fee is 500 yen.
電気料金が高くなりました。
The electricity bill/charge has become more expensive.
代金 = the price / amount you pay for something you buy
We usually use 代金 when we pay for a product or something we purchased.
本の代金を払いました。
I paid for the book.
商品の代金は3,000円です。
The price/amount due for the product is 3,000 yen.
代金はクレジットカードで払えます。
You can pay for your purchase by credit card.
Easy way to remember
サービス・利用 → 料金
service / use → 料金
買ったもの・商品 → 代金
something you buy → 代金
For example:
ホテルの料金を払います。
I pay the hotel charge.
買った服の代金を払います。
I pay for the clothes I bought.
One important point is that 値段（ねだん） is also often translated as “price.”
値段 focuses on how much something costs, while 代金 focuses more on the money that you actually pay / have to pay.
このバッグの値段はいくらですか。
How much is this bag?
バッグの代金を払います。
I pay for the bag.

As output practice, you talked about some recent events.
Continuing from last week, we used a preview of the English version of Flying Witch to read Chapter 1 of Volume 1 in Japanese aloud and looked up unfamiliar words by comparing them with the English version.
