Thank you for joining the lesson. As output practice, you talked about your plans for the Fourth of July in the United States. You also told me about your impressions of Anime Expo 2026, which you attended. We continued reading the manga Flying Witch aloud. Since we only got through part of the first chapter yesterday, we finished reading the rest of Chapter 1 today.
Thank you for coming to the lesson. As output practice, you talked about Independence Day in the United States. We also introduced some vocabulary through the things that inspired Pokémon designs. This time, we learned the words korai (ancient) and mirai (future). We continued studying intransitive and transitive verbs this week. Rather than trying to understand them only through rules, it may be easier to learn them as complete phrases.

I had two lessons back-to-back today. I had such a great time that I completely lost track of time.
Today you learned about the sheer number of toilet signs in Japan.
Now you can find toilets in Japan by looking at toilet signs. You also learned a magic phrase to ask where the toilet is and get permission to use it.
You have mastered the concepts of "ikimasu" "kimasu" and "kaerimasu." You now understand that "いきます" (to go) becomes "きます" (to come) depending on where you are.
You have learned: いつwhen, だれとwith whom,なんにんで and how many people will you goいきます?
「2028ねん、かぞく5にんで LAオリンピックに いきます」
You were able to say it. That's wonderful.
I really enjoyed the four substitute lessons. Thank you very much.
